Jigsaw Pieces of Baby Ding

Other than celebrating Darius' 7th month of life today, its also my 365th day in Calgary...one year already! I could still remember the teary day i depart my family and friends at Changi International Airport...and the moment i step foot on Canadian ground in Vancouver...so darn tired and worried and eager to see my hubby...

Never imagine how much i would wanna be back home jus 1 year lata...but still i'm proud of my achievements here so far...my beloved dearest baby is growing and developing well and healthy...i'm also enjoying very much mothering him and spending every min and sec with him...

Though hubby and I have many differences in the way we wanna parent Darius...i believe we are both learning and should give each other the benefit of doubt when we make a mistake...
I'm also very thankful to him for making it possible for me to stay home with the baby instead of working out there...i really enjoy being a stay-at-home-mom (SAHM)...

I'm also glad I met Rochelle at the 1st Mother Goose program...though the program was not as interesting as I have expected it to be...but it brought me a friend...we click right away!
Almost every week she will invite me to her beautiful house for pizza lunch, chat and chill out with our babies...Her son Noah is born 1 week after Darius...its really cute to see them both "talk" and looking at each other in amazement...
She's a very proactive mummy...always encourage me to read and intro good books to me...also she's been in Calgary for 5 yrs, so she always share alot of local resources with me...

At 7 mths, Darius has achieved the following milestones:

* weighs 22lbs 13 oz / 10.72 kgs

* very serious seperation anxiety

* started creeping in preparation for crawling

* in sitting position, able to lurge forward using his bum

* will pass the ball back when i roll the ball to him - nt always in the rite direction though

* while on his tummy, will move backwards using his hands

* able to stand on his own for 3 secs

* enjoying solid foods, but appetite varies day to day

* teething again, with the 5th and 6th tooth breaking thru from upper jaw...

* pincer grasp - pick tings up with fore finger and thumb

* understands - Ware is the ball ? coz when i ask him he'll look in the direction of the ball

* hates hates hates super hate diaper change

* try to reach for toys beyond his reach and will pull them to himself

* bang toys and watever is in his hands

* knows my weakness...he'll be half crying half calling...ma~~~...and mummy will put EVERYTHING down and carry him...

* shows temper if i dun give him wat he wants...eg. camera, hp, keys, mummy's food, and all non-baby stuffs

* stranger anxiety - other than mummy, EVERYONE else is considered stranger to baby...even daddy...bt lucky for daddy, sometimes only...

Solid foods he has had since 6 mths...

* Rice Cereal - Nestle

* Oat Cereal - Nestle
* Carrots pureed - Heinz
* Peas pureed - Heinz
* Sweet potatoes pureed - Heinz
* Butternut Squash pureed - Heinz

* Brocolli porridge - homemade - had negative reaction to brocolli and became very gassy
* Tomato porridge - homemade
