bAby dAriuS is nINe mOnths oLD...
Weather: Mostly Cloudy, 17°C
This should have been posted on 16th but due to the stupid internet connection...i could create a blog post on 18th...den kena d/c b4 i could publish post...so finally today 22nd i finally finish blogging and publish my post...
Anyway i still cant believe i have been thru 9 months of motherhood now...
it's still so overwhelming for me...esp when i see my niece Rachel...i will think back the days when Darius was jus like her now...a newborn...eat sleep poo cry...
though i may sound dramatic to many but i'm sure those who are mummies will understand how i felt n went tru...when i saw my baby Darius taking his first step towards independence...i cried...it is so amazing and satisfying to watch his every little growth physically, developmentally, emotionally and socially...from newborn to a smiley 3 mth old to starting solids @ 6 mths and gaining mobility now...! i am so glad i could stay home and watch this precious little creature growing from within me to becoming a little boy soon...in 3 mths time he will move up to toddlerhood...n b4 i know it he will be attending college...haha...dats......a little too early to be thinking abt nw...
he is jus so so so curious these days...watching the way he explore the world is so wonderful and entertaining...sometimes i jus wished i could give him a better environment and more space in the house to explore...the way he study things so seriously...is jus so so so adorable...!
how i wish i could share all these precious moments with my family n friends...i'm sure his auntie zui will love him to bits...!
Darius' milestones:
* He now weighs 24 lbs 7 oz / 11.24 kgs (dats 3 times his birth weight!) & 78 cm (grown 25 cm from birth!)
* On July 25th @ 8 mths 1 week, Darius started crawling and i meant really moving forward with his arms n legs...though he sometimes drag his left leg...and since then my life change again to accomodate his growing needs...i jus cant take my eyes off him for 10 secs...he moves really fast...esp to places he KNOWS its out of bounds...till today he will jus follow me ware eva i go...
* 4 days lata on July 29th @ 8 mths 2 week, Darius can pull himself to stand...and that again change my life too...while i'm doing the dishes...he use my legs as support to stand and cling to me until i'm done...so dats to say after doing the dishes i cant go on to the next chore...he wants "bao bao"...
* maybe due to his new developmental milestone, his sleep is kinda disturbed...he will wake up in the middle of the nite...standing in his crib n whining for mummy to wake up and put him down again coz he has not mastered how to sit down...
* 2 weeks lata on Aug 14 @ 8 mths 4 week, Darius can walk holding my hands...n dat means he's gonna need shoes anytime soon...i'm sure by winter he should be walking so i would need to get him boots too...argh...$ $ $...
* yesterday on Aug 21st @ 9 mths 5 days, Darius finally mastered how to sit down from standing position...which is great! 1 thing less to yell mummy for help...he can now move on to other activties after he is down with playing his exersaucer which he now only enjoy playing it from outside n sitting inside it...
* he can very clearly speak his first word - mama...( i always say he is mummy's boy...hehe) and many other words which i have not figure out what they are...but he sure is a talkative boy...
* he is more than ever clingy to me now...but i hope after he starts Gymboree classes this fall it could boost his confidence abit and he could become more sociable...but of coz mummy do enjoy being his #1...its feels so so so good when he calls for me...i would give anything and everything up in the world for him...becoz he means the world to me...he is my world...
* he is still not very interested in food...or rather food dat mummy cooks...ya i'm a lousy cook but i have nvr cook for anyone so pls bear with my first-times...i dun wish to put any seasonings as his little kidneys would not be able to process the salts...and he luuuurves fruit and yogurt...too bad i dun have durian for him to try...hehe...
* he is my little follower...he jus follows ware eva i go in the house...even the toilet...so i shd get a gate to keep him out...there was once i kinda lost him in the house...he did not even respond when i called out to him...n...when i finally found my little rascal...he was rummaging the closet and the clothes on the floor...no wonder he did not respond...he knew wat he was doing is not rite...boys...
