Baby dAriuS is fOur months old...!

I cant help but say again...time flies too fast...the newborn dat used to only sleep n feed is getting more active n having more actions nw...
seeing his 2 bottom front pearly whites erupting more n more each day...makes me excited to start him on solids...

apart from seeing him grow physically which is obviously changing so fast...i can feel his emotional development as he starts to be aware of how pple ard him is feeling...like when i'm angry he knows it and will stop his nonsense...when i'm upset he will brighten my mood with his smile...when we quarrel he will cry to protest and make us stop...

Its such an amazing and wonderful feeling everytime Darius reaches a new milestone...

* he is able to stand with support...starting from standing for secs to minutes...he enjoys standing in front of the mirror n looking @ his reflection...i'm not sure does he know dats him...but he will laugh n giggle n scream in delight when he sees me making funny faces in the mirror...

* he wakes up lesser for nite feeds nw...n is able to soothe him self back to sleep when he awakes in the nite...makes alot of sound when he sleeps...

* sometimes in the morning when he wakes up he will not cry but jus lie in bed n play by himself...

* sleeps very little in the day n enjoys playing...

* first signs of bottom left front tooth...will try to get a pic of it when he is alseep...kekeke...
always drooling n wanting to bite...

* his hands loves to grab at everyting within his reach...n will grab tighter when i try to take it away from him...like playing tug-of-war...hee...

* during bath time, he loves it when i squeeze the wet wash cloth making a squishy sound...

* will try to reach n grab my specs while feeding...or if he is unsuccessful he will pull my shirt or pinch my arms...his hands jus cant stay put...

* starting to drop some baby hair...

There are also bad days when he will fuss n cry the whole day...n i have to carry him all day even for day naps...hmmm...i wonder y babies will have bad days...dun they jus eat n poo n sleep n play...?!??!

I will make it a point to read to him every nite b4 bed...but there are days i'm tired n lazy...so will leave him to play till he is tired n ready for sleep...

Been so busy with Darius...almost forget i'm Mrs Ding for 1 year already...with the baby around...we cant really celebrate also...hubby's tired from work...i'm tired from caring Darius 24/7...wats the moral of the story?! enjoy ur married life b4 having a baby...hmmm...come to tink abt it...its nt dat i duwan to enjoy...but...well...life is full of surprises...!

Its nt easy to manage a marriage...let alone a family...so i'm starting to understand wat my parents went thru...why n wat my mum did for me n sista...i finally know wat's it like for u mummy...motherly LOVE is truly the greatest of all...every kid has to take it for granted b4 realising n understanding its greatness...its jus a cycle of life...

Sometimes when we quarrel...Darius seems to understand n know...he will cry den we will stop...therefore children are indeed the greatest gift from GOD to couples...they continously remind us to compromise n get along well...now i finally understand y GOD bless me with a baby so soon...my mummy also tell me to count my blessings...n dat no human is perfect...whenever we quarrel, i should calm down n tink of his good points, n hw well he has been treating me...n dat i shd never always expect too much from him...we both have our own role to play in the family n we have our own way of managing tings...so i can never always have my way in everyting...

it takes months to plan a wedding...it take years to manage a marriage...ironically...it only takes minutes to end it...

Family Day !

Today is Family Day, a public holiday only in Alberta...there are many activities going on in the recreation centres for children and families, but Darius is still young so we rather stay home as a family instead...hee...

So over the weekend we went to Toys R Us for the baby event sale...only bought the ABC-123 foam mats...but Darius had fun...! lucky he still young else sure make a scene for us to buy him the toys...

He was abit afraid at first when we put him on the bouncer...bt after trying a few...he seems to enjoy them...n even cry when we put him back in his car seat...

I got a free Snugli baby carrier from the Family visitor, though its red but daddy still looks good wearing it...hee...




















Durians...!!!

Durians...king of fruits...also the stinkiest n ugliest...but yet i have been craving for it ever since my preggy days...though i swear at the sight and smell of them before being preggy...din manage to picture the whole durian as hubby threw away the shells after opening them...it weighs almost 8 lbs and cost hubby 22 CAD...yeah he nag n nag after paying for it...i admit its really expensive...but i was carried away by the smell n craving in me...ya i hate the smell...but u dun get to smell durians as often here as in SIN...so when i saw n smell durians...i kinda lost my " sense of cents"...it also gives me a homely feeling...makes me feel like home in SIN...also...looking at the durians...reminds me of the times my sista always blow her smelly breathe into my face after having durians...durians give me happy memories... :)

while i was having it, Darius kept looking at me with his eyes wide open...so i bring it closer to him n let him smell...haha...din manage to get his look on camera...but he frowned and was like saying " wat the hell was dat smell !" ...haha...really funny...

Den hubby ask me how much does durians cost in SIN...i told him i duno...coz i nvr buy them b4...den he said ya...ur a lucky gal...everyting u like to eat u dun have to buy or cook urself...well...its kinda true...seems like the fridge will always fill up by itself...i never have to worry there is ntg to eat...my mummy will always top up the apples n juices n chocolates i like in the fridge...my granny will always cook the food i like to eat...or rather i like everyting she cook actually...its no fun growing up...but still i'm having fun watching Darius grow up...

Baby dAriuS is THREE months old...!

At 3 months...Darius will "upgrade" to be an infant...no more a newborn nw...

Lately i'm busy looking for a Convertible Car Seat...which can b used up to toddler years...coz Darius is a big baby...he will soon outgrow his current infant car seat within the next couple of weeks...luckily we did not get a brand new infant car seat...oli used 3 mths...wat a waste it would have been...!

Darius' milestones @ 3 mths:

* loves to talk with varying pitches n has a wider range of baby vocabs...there were times i tot he said "ma", "aye", "wai", "hi", "yi",

* seldoms cry for me but instead will make alot of noise and if i do not respond for a long time. he will kinda scream...~~~

* unfortunately he still has not sleep thru the nite...poor mummy...

* loves shopping and looking at strangers

* playing and sucking his hands...@ 2 mths he discovered his left hand...nw he starts to also play with his right hand...and makes alot of smacking sounds...

* able to sit up supported and hold his head steadily n wobbily...

* loves to laughs...even when his daddy coughs...

* gets startled easily with sudden new loud sounds...once he gets familiar with it, he will accept it

* his eyes will follow me wherever i go even when daddy is carrying him...makes daddy jealous...hee...

* his eyes will brighten up when he loves wat i'm saying...as though he understands...

* likes to look at his reflection on the mirror...

* hates to be left alone for too long

* open and shut his fist and starts to try battling at objects hanging over him on the baby gym

* drooling alot and will bite my finger when i clean his mouth

Happy Valentine's Day...to Everyone...!

1st valentine's day with hubby tiz year...wat a v-day...jus like any other day at home...

Is marriage really the graveyard of love?! Does signing on the dotted line means no more romance...? No more courtship?! Why wasn't i told earlier...?!

Well, to make myself feel better...i try to stay positive...Darius is still young...we are in a different situation now being in Calgary alone...our current goal is to make $$$ n have a family...

but does dat mean we lose excitement in life ? y do i feel so lethargic n dead? soulless...i dun wish to be the woman who lose herself to family n kids...i'm starting to hate these special days...

y m i so contradicting...? i look forward to have my own career n my own life back...at the same time i dun wish Darius to grow so fast...coz dat would mean he will b independent one day n leave me...

when i was younger (n i'm still young nw...) i look fwd to have my own family n even planned to stay home to look after my kids n watch them grow for the 1st few years...i thank GOD for blessing me with tiz opportunity nw...yet at the same time y am i complaining of nt having a life?! humans are never contented...haiz...

everytime when i fall into these depressing spells...i look at Darius...his little angelic face...his squeals n smiles...n wat a wonderful job i have done taking care of him...though its a 24/7 job, but the kinda satisfaction is no job can ever give me...

i can never forget the very 1st moment he was in my arms...the look on his face...as if telling me finally we meet after 40 weeks...as our eyes meet...den i know wat is love at first sight...

so...does v-day still mean anything to me nw? i duno...leave dat answer to my hubby...
